My friend Michele and I spent the day a couple weeks ago at one of my favorite places on the island, Hansen Bay. A friend of ours, Vie Mahabar has a cute, traditional snack shack serving local favorites adjoining the beach. The menu consists of literally four items; garlic chicken, rice and beans, conch fritters and johnny cakes.
Its old school island comfort food and it's good. And the beach is the icing on the johnny cake.
